Birmingham professionals are set to sing in support of homeless animals at WorkPlay. Doors open at 6:00pm, show starts at 7pm. Cover charge is $20. Hosted by Birmingham lawyer, Tommy Spina, Croonin’ For Critters borrows the American Idol format with the contestants accompanied by a live band, followed by performance critiques from a panel of celebrity judges. Audience members vote for their favorite singers through monetary donations. The singer who raises the most money is named Birmingham’s Critter Idol. A separate award goes the most talented singer.
